DEAN'S WELCOME MESSAGE
Dear Parents and Students,
Welcome to the School of Health and Human Sciences. We provide a nurturing environment in which students feel safe to explore new learning and challenges while still knowing there are caring, supportive adults to join in celebrating their success and guiding them through difficult times. As partners in our endeavor, thank you for your support.
Our mission is to enable all students to become self-directed and self-reflective learners. In a climate of trust, we engage them in opportunities to improve their academic performance, develop their interpersonal skills. It is important to me that all students feel that our staff knows them well and that we continue to challenge them to grow both academically and socially. The School of Health and Human Sciences (SHHS) is a relatively new school having been approved by the senate in July, 2014.
It is housed at the Health Sciences Complex within the University. Currently the school has a total of 16 teaching and 3 non-teaching staff, headed by the Dean. The school is made up of four (4) departments namely: Department of Nursing Department of Foods, Nutrition and Dietetics Department of Public Health Department of Anatomy & Physiology
